Welcome to your summer transition to becoming a Catholic University student or as we like to say "Becoming A Cardinal". We are hard at work preparing a great in person orientation program for you when you arrive to campus in August but we recognize that your transition from a high school student to a college student is already well underway. We are here to help with all sorts of great resources including our 7 week virtual program called "Becoming A Cardinal".

Each first year student will be enrolled in the Becoming A Cardinal program through Cardinal Learn at https://learn.cua.edu before the end of June. Beginning the week of June 28th we will release a short video or a couple videos each week that have been put together by various offices across campus to help prepare you for your transition to Catholic. Cardinal Learn is a platform you will use in many of your classes while at Catholic. It will be helpful for you to take the time through this summer program to learn the platform so you know the technology when we begin classes in the fall.

In addition, we will host  weekly small discussion groups, led by some of our amazing Orientation Advisors and other student leaders. In these small groups you'll get a chance to virtually meet some of the Orientation Advisors as well as other first year students. Each week you can choose a day and time for your small group discussion that works for your schedule and meet new people every week.

As we continue to finalize everything we will provide additional information on this page including an overview of the program, assistance on navigating the Cardinal Learn platform, and access to a full schedule of all of the discussion groups. It is our expectation that each new student will watch the video each week and engage in the small group discussions, so that we know you are prepared to begin your flight as a Cardinal.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out to us at cua-orientation@cua.edu or 202-319-5627.
